Update your contacts, they are the lifeblood of your Linkedin! Add people using the search engine or look in your network. Remember to always add a personal note.
Be serious. It doesn't matter if you use a nickname on your social networks or if you show the daily life of your pet canaries. Everything you show on Linkedin should reflect your professional identity.
What does a superhero look like? Here, forget the glasses, the pout, and the model poses. You should use clear photos, a clear background, and place yourself in the middle. Be serious, but keep it casual.
List the conferences and classes you've attended that are relevant (focus!)
Match the interactions you receive on your profile with the same interests that you track as likes on other social networks. Find out what works and what doesn't.
Turn on notifications. Set your preferences in the “offers” section to relate to your interests. Give your superhero a voice, join groups and followinfluential people or com- panies in your industry.
Ask for recommenda- tions. Your high school friend's opinion doesn't count. What you're look- ing for here is validation from knowledgeable people in your industry.
